Course introduction

This online course introduces you to different types of electric vehicles, their associated components and the terminology used. 
It covers the importance of the legislation and the hazards associated with working on high voltage vehicles. 
You will learn about workplace procedures and how to prepare an electric vehicle for isolation. 
You will also cover how to correctly and safely isolate and re-energise an electric vehicle using the correct tools and equipment and following manufacturers' procedures.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be awarded the City & Guilds L2 Award in Safe Maintenance of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles (Qualification Number 610/0079/7).

Course Introduction

This online course introduces you to the operation of electric vehicle systems. 
You will cover the features, function and construction of electric vehicle components and alternative fuel systems. 
You will also look at the electrical and electronic principles relating to low and high-voltage systems and components. 
You will learn about the importance of adhering to health and safety legislation, regulations, guidelines and workplace procedures and know how to work safely around electric vehicles. 
You will identify the hazards associated with working on electric vehicles and how to minimise risk to yourself and others when removing and replacing components in an electric vehicle. 
You will also learn how to test, remove and replace components in an electric vehicle. 

Course introduction
This qualification is designed as an introduction to the Wind Turbine Industry, it includes an introduction to the renewable sector, safe working practices, understanding the requirements for specific job roles, employability and is aimed at those who wish to develop skills and knowledge that will ultimately lead to employment in this sector. 
Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be awarded the ITC Level 1 Certificate in Safe Working Practice in the Wind Turbine Industry (Qualification Number 601/5385/4).

Course introduction

This qualification is designed as an introduction to health and safety in the wind turbine industry, it includes an introduction to working with electrics and electronics in the industry, working at height, first aid and how to deal with a casualty who is choking. 

The course will look at manual handling, fire safety awareness, working in medium risk confined spaces and marine safety and sea survival. 

Finally, it will look at the employment fundamentals of the wind turbine industry, and is aimed at those who wish to develop skills and knowledge that will ultimately lead to employment in this sector.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be awarded the ITC Level 2 Diploma in Safe Working Practice in the Wind Turbine Industry (Qualification Number 601/5386/6).
